Callistemon 'Fluro Burst' (Medium 200mm pot)

$30.00

Fluro Burst is a semi-compact native bottlebrush that lives up to its name, smothering itself in vivid hot fluro pink brushes tipped with gold every spring. The dark green foliage makes the colour pop, and the flowers bring in native birds and bees. Hardy and adaptable, it handles Canberra's frosts and dry summers once established.

  • Mature size: Approx. 1-1.5m H x 1-1.2m W
  • Foliage: Dark green, evergreen
  • Flowers: Hot fluro pink bottlebrush blooms with gold tips, spring
  • Growth habit: Semi-compact, dense and bushy
  • Position: Full sun to part shade
  • Climate: Frost hardy, drought tolerant once established
  • Water needs: Regular water for the first few months; drought tolerant once established
  • Soil: Copes with most soils, including heavier clay. Dig in gypsum clay breaker to help drainage. In pots, use Native Osmocote Potting Mix.
  • Feeding: Osmocote Native in spring, or Neutrog Bush Tucker as a liquid feed. Seasol at planting helps it settle in.
  • Maintenance: Low; light prune after flowering for a tidier, bushier shape
  • Ideal for: Low hedging, feature planting, mass planting, large pots, bird-friendly gardens
