Callistemon citrinus 'White Anzac' (Medium 200mm pot)

$30.00

This spreading native bottlebrush is a little different to the usual reds, with clusters of soft white flowers appearing over summer against neat, paired oval leaves. Wider than it is tall, it's a hardy, bird-attracting native that copes well with Canberra's frosts and dry spells once established.

  • Mature size: Approx. 1m H x 3m W
  • Foliage: Small, paired oval leaves
  • Flowers: White bottlebrush blooms, mainly midsummer
  • Growth habit: Spreading shrub, wider than tall
  • Position: Full sun to part shade
  • Climate: Frost hardy, drought tolerant once established
  • Water needs: Regular water while establishing; drought tolerant once established
  • Soil: Copes with most soils, including heavier clay. Dig in gypsum clay breaker to help drainage. In pots, use Native Osmocote Potting Mix.
  • Feeding: Osmocote Native in spring, or Neutrog Bush Tucker as a liquid feed. Seasol at planting helps it settle in.
  • Maintenance: Low; prune after flowering, native fertiliser for dense growth
  • Ideal for: Native gardens, coastal and exposed sites, attracting birds and pollinators
